Characteristics β-Pompilidotoxin, a voltage-gated Na(+) channel activator
Background β-Pompilidotoxin was isolated from the venoms of two wasps, Anoplius amariensis and Batozonellus maculifrons. This short peptide slows the inactivation of neuronal sodium channels and does not affect cardiac sodium channels.
